Potpourri Stitchers: Felted Flower Part 2 of 3

We will continue working on the felted flower from last month. This meeting we will wrap pearl cotton onto wire petals;  stitch 7mm ribbon onto flower center fabric; stitch 4mm ribbon onto flower center fabric; couch yellow thread to flower center fabric; stitch French knots onto flower center;  add a running stitch to flower center fabric, then gather, lightly stuff, and sew shut. The supply list is in last month's calendar entry.

In part 3, we will assemble the flower:

  • Into a pin by attaching wire wrapped petals to the back of the center piece,  attaching the three fabric petals to the back,  and attaching the green leaves and pin back; OR
  • Into a stemmed flower by making a stem and attaching it  to the back of the flower along with the green leaves.

This group meets monthly the 3rd Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to approx. 2:00 p.m.  

LOCATION: This will be a hybrid meeting. In-person attendees will meet at Lee Popp's home. The link for those connecting by video conference is on the Member Resources page.
