Beading Meeting - Baby Steps: Herringbone Stitch, Part 2

  • Fri, November 11, 2022
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We will attach the herringbone tubes we made earlier this year to beads and complete the scissor fob. How to attach crimp beads to beading wire will be demonstrated.

Besides the herringbone tubes, and scissors and beads from the kit, you will need the following jewelry tools:

•Flush/side wire cutters

•Crimping pliers for 2x2mm crimps

•2 chain nose pliers OR 1 chain nose pliers and 1 flat nose pliers

If you are unfamiliar with these tools, please read “Tools and Findings forJewelry Making” on the NGM website, which may be found under MemberArea→Meeting Handouts→Beading. Inexpensive tools may be found at chaincraft stores. Please note that chain nose pliers are NOT needle nose pliers—the jaws of needle nose pliers have grooves while chain nose pliers’ jaws are smooth.

This group meets the 2nd Friday from 10am - Noon.

LOCATION:  We are meeting by video conference.  A link to connect to it is on the Member Resources page.
